Watching the NationsItaly
“The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” Revelation 11:15, KJV
Why we watch Italy
Why Italy is in focus
Rome is home to the Vatican, whose teaching, diplomacy, and public statements reach far beyond Italy. Vatican City is a sovereign state within Rome, distinct from Italy. Watching Italy gives us a place to attend to both the nation’s own needs and the wider influence of the Holy See.
We pray for the people of Italy and for leaders throughout the Christian world. As we follow public developments from Rome, our posture is discernment and intercession rather than suspicion toward fellow Christians.
Prayer focus
Italy’s people and leaders; wisdom and peace in Rome; integrity and faithfulness in Christian leadership worldwide.
