Watching the NationsCanada
“The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” Revelation 11:15, KJV
Why Canada is in focus
Canada is the country Pastor Henry calls home. Its relationship with the United States and its longstanding role in refugee resettlement connect its decisions to people around the world. We watch with care as public choices affect families, newcomers, churches, and the nation’s place among other countries.
We pray that the Church in Canada will remain awake to its calling: to welcome, serve, speak with compassion and truth, and intercede for the nation’s future. Our expectation that Canada will matter in future global events is a prayerful conviction, not a claim that any particular event has been foretold.
Prayer focus
Wise leadership; compassionate treatment of refugees and newcomers; unity and spiritual renewal in the Church; peace with neighbours.
